Due to roadworks on the K 67 between Alt Wallmoden and the junction with the K 4 towards Ringelheim, and between Alt Wallmoden and the junction with the L 496, there will be changes to the timetable for bus route 656. The roadworks are divided into two sections.

In the Construction phase 2 (8–13 October 2026) An alternative route is being used in Alt Wallmoden, which may cause delays.
In the Construction phase 1 (13–23 October 2026) Journeys start and end at the „SZ-Ringelheim, Bahnhof“ stop. The stops „SZ-Ringelheim, Wallmoder Straße“, „SZ-Ringelheim, Goslarsche Straße“, „SZ-Ringelheim, Markt“, „SZ-Hohenrode, Abzweig Ringelheim“, „SZ-Gitter, Ort“, „SZ-Ringelheim, Haverlahstraße“, „SZ-Ringelheim, Umspannwerk“, „Haverlah, Salzgitterstr.“, „SZ-Bad, Finkenkuhle“, „SZ-Bad, Erikastraße“ and „SZ-Bad, Breslauer Straße“ cannot be served. The construction-related timetable ensures that the usual connections for route 656 at Ringelheim station are maintained.
❗The services departing from Baddeckenstedt at 6.55 am, 7.55 am, 9.05 am, 4.06 pm and 7.05 pm terminate at Ringelheim station. The onward journey to SZ-Bad station is cancelled. In the opposite direction, services that previously departed from SZ-Bad at 6.10 am, 9.43 am, 1.20 pm, 4.15 pm and 5.15 pm will now start at Ringelheim station. For the cancelled section between Ringelheim and SZ-Bad stations, you can use bus route 650 as an alternative.
