The planned reorganisation of bus services in the Wittingen - Brome - Wolfsburg region is scheduled for 2026. Our aim is to revise the routes so that local transport in the region is clearer, more reliable and better coordinated - with clearer timetables and targeted improvements to connections.

The basic concept of the new planning will be retained. Only individual journeys and transfers will be reviewed again before implementation.

What happens next?

Firstly, we will continue with the previous timetable with minor adjustments continues. The comprehensive grid conversion will then follow in 2026.

The goals of the grid changeover

• Better connections and coordinated journey times 
  The frequency of the RegioBus line 160 will be adjusted so that it ideally complements the state bus line 300. This creates a regular service between Parsau, Rühen and Wolfsburg: two journeys per hour on Mondays to Fridays and one journey per hour at weekends and the last journeys in the evening, in both directions. 
• Direct connections 
  The RegioBus line 160 and line 163 provide an almost continuous connection from Wittingen via Brome to Wolfsburg - mostly without changing buses.
• Reliable connections to the railway
  At Wolfsburg station, RegioBus line 160 provides a convenient connection to the regional trains RE30 to and from Hanover and RE50 to and from Braunschweig. In Wittingen, the 163 line connects to the RB47 Regiobahn service to and from Gifhorn and Braunschweig and the RegioBus line 120 to and from Hankensbüttel.
• School transport at a glance
  There are clear timetables and optimised routes for schoolchildren. 
• Consistent lines and clear beats 
  We avoid parallel transport services and focus on clear, comprehensible timetables for everyone.
• Better for commuters to the VW plant
  The journey times are coordinated with the VW shift times. In addition, routes 151 and 153 will be merged, which will ensure a more efficient connection.
